High speed ribbon cable construction consists of foamed polyethylene over solid 26AWG silver plated copper conductors. Two conductors are laid parallel and wrapped with heat sealed aluminum/PET tape (aluminum side out). All 25 pairs are then bonded together at controlled intervals. High speed ribbon cable delivers today's information at tomorrow's speed may sound like a cliché, but to HCM it's must for survival in today's technology-driven world. Lower time delays, lower in pair skew and lower pair-to-pair skew numbers are exceeding market expectations. Copper gauges continue to get smaller with demands for smaller and more flexible cable solutions.
